Ok, this is where it all started... a bunch of us discussing the way by which we would be able to hit the road and tour a little to promote ourselves out of the area we call home.
I just got back from a family gathering that allowed me to make some initial contacts for venue locations in Virginia and North Carolina. The most promising plan for summer would seem to be a series of 5-7 day trips to include these seaside locations: Ocean City, MD, Virginia Beach, VA, Nags Head, NC, Myrtle Beach, SC and Hilton Head, SC. Some of these locations are possible 2 day engagements. This may done in the form of 3 DJs per night or a single DJ with a DJ oriented band. I would currently expect to have each DJ be earning roughly $200/day.
We are opening this up to all members of the International DJ Guild tribe. We are expecting to be called on to please the crowd regardless of their taste in music.
The nature of the accomodations is as yet unknown. We may seek out a central location for part of the trip and get a beach house.
Those interested in participating should immediately send me a one paragraph (non-hypish) bio to be included in the mailing going out to the venues. We are in need of locations in the cities mentioned as well as any New Jersey shore, Savanna, GA or nothern Florida. Inland locations should be within 200 miles of listed locations and have some special summer appeal.
Suggested venues are very important, so, venues and contact person phone numbers are requested from all members.
